SHUROKKHA IS A COMMUNITY LED CHILD PROTECTION PROGRAM:

The project working directly with 3000 children that include 750 working children e.g  street worker , domestic worker, and child worker in khola (dry fish establishment), refugee children who are considered as the direct beneficiaries of the project. The program aimed to community empowerment in caring & protecting children, fostering children rights to education, skills, supporting alternative livelihoods and building networks in scale up impact on child protection in commercial sexual exploitation. The major part of the program is create a community-based network for social protection of children through Community care group, mother groups and youth forum and building capacity to protect the children vulnerable to sexual exploitation.

The program intends to develop child mentors from the children and foster leadership skills to mentoring children to address social and economic systems for protecting children from hazardous labor, sexual abuse, child marriage and forced prostitution.
